PUBLIC GENERAL COMMENT PERIOD:
Ms. Betty Wingard here about stormwater issues on property on Palestine Road. She said she used only have one sump pump but now has four and when it rains her basement becomes flooded that this has started becoming bad within the last six months. Supervisors Mr. Richards and Mr. Gdula discussed with her about where the water is possibly coming from and wetlands across the street on corner by Dollar General. Mr. Gdula said that water by pond in front crosses Forest Hills Drive to Krayn Road by railroad. Mr. Senft Roadmaster also commented on other possibilities of what could cause this to occur. Ms. Wingard said her neighbors had lake or pond and filled it in and she had called someone about putting ditch in, but he didn’t know where to put it to divert water. Mr. Gdula said on hill beyond her house through to Miller Road there is a lot of water (possible springs?) as he and Mr. Richards had walked that before, and he recalled it was swampy. Mr. Gdula and Mr. Senft discussed water possibly coming from ground. Mr. Richards said Mr. Senft as Roadamaster will come and look at it and see what can be done. Mr. Gdula said you would almost have to put a box and have water cross the road to go into culverts/ditch on other side.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mr. Richards stated with no other township business to conduct he would entertain a motion to adjourn. Mr. Gdula made the motion, second by Mr. Senft. With all in favor, motion passed, and the meeting adjourned at 5:17 P.M.
Respectfully Submitted:
Jennifer Zakraysek, Secretary-Treasurer
