Chairman Dennis Richards called the regular meeting to order at 5:00p.m. in the conference room of the Adams Township Municipal Building.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all present.
ATTENDANCE:
Those in attendance were Supervisors Dennis Richards, Dennis Gdula, Brian Schrader, Dan Senft and Mark Bucci; William Barbin, Solicitor; Jennifer Zakraysek, Secretary, Kirk Moss, Police Chief and 7(seven) visitors.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR AGENDA ITEMS AND PRIOR MEETING MINUTES:
Mr. Richards stated now the Public has the right and the opportunity to comment on any item from the previous meeting minutes. None were forthcoming.
MINUTES:
Mr. Richards stated everyone had a copy of the January 27 ,2020 reorganization and regular meetings. He asked all Board members to read the minutes. Mr. Richards asked for a motion to approve the minutes presented. Mr. Gdula made the motion, second by Mr. Senft. With all in favor, motion passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
After discussion, Mr. Richards stated the Treasurers Report was accepted as written. The General Account Fund showed revenues received totaling $ 44,421.47, expenditures of $ 46,694.55(check # 30737 to #30776) and a balance of $390,582.39. The Street Light Account Fund showed revenues received of $ 4,754.12 and expenditures of $5,123.10(check #1505 to #1507) and a balance of $3,481.22. The Fire Protection and Fire Hydrant Fund showed revenues received for the hydrants of 0.00 and protection of $0.00 and expenditures of $1,350.42(check #1242 to #1243) and a balance of $13,545.78. The State Liquid Fuels Account Fund showed revenue of $74.95 in interest and expenditures of $5,533.96(check #785) leaving a balance of $183,225.55.
Kim Dorchak from Kotzan CPA and Associates here to present 2019 Township audit. She reported that they issued a clean opinion with no discrepancies and is in good financial condition ending 2019 with a profit.
CORRESPONDENCE:
Letter from Musser Engineering regarding notice about Windber Stone quarry. Mr. Richards commented that this quarry is in Ogle Township and therefore all quarrying will happen there not in Adams Township.
OLD BUSINESS:
Mr. Richards asked if the Board had any other old business they would like to discuss. None was forthcoming.
NEW BUSINESS:
Payment of the Bills: Mr. Richards stated all Board Members have a copy of the bills presented for payment totaling $55,452.21 and asked them to take a few minutes to review the bills before calling for a motion to approve payment of the bills. Mr. Schrader made the motion to pay all bills. Mr. Senft seconded this motion. With all in favor, motion passed. Mr. Richards asked for a motion to approve advertising for bids for road maintenance material for 2020-2021 season. Mr. Senft made the motion, second by Mr. Gdula. With all in favor, motion passed.
Mr. Richards asked for a motion to approve road maintenance agreement with Windber Stone. Motion made by Mr. Schrader, second by Mr. Gdula. With all in favor, motion passed.
PUBLIC GENERAL COMMENT PERIOD:
Ms. Linda Scullion about update on tires on either property she had inquired about previously. Mr. Barbin said on Geibeg situation we will refile. Mr. Gdula said on Lantz property that he was out there and took pictures. He said he will contact Lantz and if that attempt does not work out that we will fill out new form and send to codes.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mr. Richards stated with no other township business to conduct he would entertain a motion to adjourn. Mr. Schrader made the motion, second by Mr. Senft. With all in favor, motion passed, and the meeting adjourned at 5:18 P.M.
