 Adams Township was created on January 6, 1870.  The 2020 census has Adams Township’s population at 5,752 residents. Total road miles for Adams Township is 82.38 road miles with 56.81 being Township road miles. The major roads in Adams Township are SR 869, SR 160, and US 219.  The Township millage is 8 mills on real estate in the Township.  Adams Township borders five different municipalities and two counties.  They are South Fork Borough, Richland Township, Conemaugh Township, Croyle Township, Summerhill Township, Bedford County (Pavia Township), and Somerset County (Ogle Township).
