- Peter Skoner here to discuss /ask questions about possible subdivision. Here to ask if its possible and what the process is to subdivide a property located at 570 Locust Steet in Sidman (the former State Farm building). John Skoner’s brother passed who owned the property. Mr. Skoner is the Executor of his estate.it is Mr. Skoner’s intent is to sell the office building perhaps to the orthodontist who is currently there. In addition, there is a welcome sign on the property and an old steam engine that belongs to his brother. Mr. Skoner’s idea is to turn the area into a Heritage-type plaza keeping the steam engine there and adding other memorabilia that would represent parts of our region’s heritage. Mr. Skoner would like to know if he can subdivide the property. The Planning Commission advised on the second parcel needing to have 7,200 square feet. The Planning Commission advised Mr. Skoner to get a surveyor and have the property surveyed and also to have an engineer complete a subdivision plan. After that is completed, he will need to bring it in for approval.

The Planning Commission referenced Section 603. Mr. Mahla may put an apartment in the building with a kitchenette, etc. This is all preliminary.
